Money Matters: A Foreword
The financial world is shifting dramatically right before our eyes. Ongoing trade wars, inflation, and taxes dominate the headlines, and it’s easy to feel like we’re being caught off guard. But as Christians, we are called to lead the way in financial stewardship and wisdom. Thankfully, Scripture has already provided guidance on how we should manage our finances, both at home and within the church.
Whether we're facing debt or struggling to set a budget within our means, Dr Paul Mills has developed a clear roadmap to financial health. I find inspiration in learning how to cultivate a healthy relationship with money, especially as my family and I prepare for the future—whether that means having children (if the Lord allows) or preparing for our later years.
Taking care of our finances isn’t just for couples with children. Anyone, at any stage of life, can begin preparing. Most importantly, we don’t need to rely on government support to live well. As Christians, we are also called to lead the way out of a debt-driven culture. By turning to Scripture and embracing its financial principles, we can cultivate a healthy relationship with money and make intentional choices that help us live with financial independence, taking care of our relational network.
If you’re ready to take control of your financial future, I encourage you to explore “Money Matters” and see how you can begin implementing these principles in your own life today.
